hello and welcome!

I’m honored that you stopped by, wanting to learn a little more about myself and my business. My childhood began right here in the Shenandoah Valley, tucked in a little farm overlooking Belmont Estates. I loved all things horses, running around without shoes (or my black cowboy boots), creating the next play with my neighborhood friends or singing at the top of my lungs to country music with my dad.

Staying in the valley through middle and high school, my passion for lifestyle photography, documentation of all things lovely, authentic and real, I developed an interest in film and dark room photography in high school.

Fast forward to my first daughter being born in 2008, I was asked to document and photograph my first small wedding. I was hooked. I fell in love with the simple concept of capturing a moment in time, viewed by only me in this particular angle, chosen so precisely by my eye only. The reward of seeing the sparkle in peoples eyes as they carefully scroll through their images, reliving their incredible day.

The same creation, only a different occasion, as I spent 10+ years documenting families, babies, engagements, parties, weddings, I grew in my love and admiration for this gift I was given.

Going back to the days after high school, I knew I wanted a break from the classroom. I wanted to get out and explore, dream, wander, find what lit the fire of my soul. So I started working at a local bagel shop (don’t laugh, I LOVE people and it wasn’t actually a terrible experience, until my boss made me cry, so I decided to step away from that position).

I started working from my dad at his excavating + paving company, grateful for the opportunity to serve and experience the hard work and sweat he had grown his company since he was 23, now with 40+ years serving the Valley.

I got married when I was 21, quickly starting a family at age 23 welcomed my first daughter. Five years later I welcomed two more beautiful children into the world to complete my family.

Thanks for listening, for stepping into a small snap shot of my life. I hope and pray I get to meet you and be a part of your journey. Thanks for stopping by friend!
